Practical tips for the self-employed

Mental Health at Work has partnered with Simply Business to support the UK’s self-employed with their mental health and wellbeing. Together we surveyed more than 700 people who work for themselves to understand their challenges. Now we want to start a conversation and break the stigma surrounding mental health at work.

Working for yourself can be tough. The pressures of managing your finances, meeting deadlines, juggling responsibilities, and striving for success can lead to feelings of stress, anxiety, and burnout.

And we know it can be difficult to find the support you need. That’s why Mental Health at Work have partnered with Simply Business to bring you some of the best resources, tools and tips to help protect and improve your wellbeing in the workplace.

In this toolkit, we’ve brought Simply Business’s practical advice into one convenient place. We’ve also included our report into the wellbeing of those who work for themselves, which explains why this focus is so important to us.
