Everyone has difficulties in their lives. We can all experience stress, money worries, periods of poor mental health, and relationship or family problems.
But if you’re a member of a stigmatised minority group, you also may experience discrimination or prejudice in your daily life. We know that experiencing racism can make us more likely to develop mental health problems.
In this video, Subira Jones, the Corporate Hippie, shares her experiences of being a disabled Black woman in the workplace. She also offers tips for those with marginalised identities on how to manage their stress levels and advice for allies who want to help.
