Managing stress and anxiety

Organisation: Mind

Working in the emergency services is a high-pressure job – and, in the COVID-19 outbreak, it is more important than ever that you are able to take time to manage your mental wellbeing.

Mind have created four PDF guides – for the ambulance service, fire and rescue, the police, and search and rescue – to help you manage feelings of anxiety and stress. They include information about the causes of stress, the ways it can affect you both physically and mentally, and tips for keeping it in check. It also includes real-life stories, so you can see how it has impacted others and see Mind’s advice in action.

Once you have clicked on the resource link below, you can choose which PDF suits your role best from the drop-down list.

Below you’ll find some other resources that relate to people working during the pandemic. You can also use your browser’s Back button to return to the selection you were just looking at, or click here to browse our list of curated toolkits to see if there’s one for you that relates to your sector.
