If your workplace has been disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, you might be worried about the wellbeing of your staff. The sudden change to how they work might have left them feeling stressed, anxious or lonely, and as a leader you understand the importance of keeping your staff feeling confident, positive and motivated.
This guide from Bupa explores some ways leaders can help their teams look after their own wellbeing in challenging times. It is broken down into four key areas:
It encourages you to think about the unique challenges some of your people might be facing – for example, if they caring for children or elderly relatives – and suggests signs that you might be able to spot if someone is feeling overwhelmed. It then outlines some simple ways to help, such as offering them ways to be more in control of their working hours, or offering thanks for a job well done.
It is designed for leaders, so is ideal to share among line managers in your organisation.
