This report highlights the problems that people with schizophrenia (and other long-term health conditions) may have with regard to employment, and how we can tackle them.
A key statistic highlighted in this report is that just 8 per cent of people with schizophrenia are in employment, despite evidence that up to 70 per cent of people with severe mental illness express a desire to work. This reports draws on several key findings to make recommendations to government, NHS England, the employer, clinicians and the individuals themselves to improve this statistic.
