Mind in Kingston
Mind in Kingston is an independent local charity, part of the Mind network, that has been operating since 1972. Their overall aims are to promote the understanding of mental health issues and to provide a range of services for people in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames who have support needs due to their mental health.
Their range of services includes:
- Telephone advice
- Counselling service
- Drop-in cafés and peer-led support groups
- Hearing voices group
- Football team, art sale and community allotment
- Housing related support
- Mental health awareness training for individuals and businesses
- Service user involvement and Mental Health Parliament
