You don’t need to be Google to address mental health at work

Organisation: Institute of Directors

It’s free, simple and effective. Yet lots of workplaces still don’t utilise the power of listening to help foster a positive working culture. This video from the IoD can be found in the blog section of their mental health hub, where there is a wealth of good information and practical tools. In this video, Victoria Walford (founder of Pocket Stress Buster), talks about ‘Why active listening is crucial to workplace mental health programmes’. She explains that opening the lines of communication from the CEO or senior leader through to the intern is beneficial for everyone and can generate more innovation.

This video is just over 5 minutes long and has the option of using subtitles. There is also some additional information alongside the video, which elaborates on several key points from the video.
