Wellbeing in the Workplace is a free online wellbeing programme that gives employees the skills they need to manage their own emotional health, and to support those around them, well before those feelings reach crisis point.

Wellbeing in the Workplace is part of This is Me, a mental health initiative that aims to change attitudes towards mental health in the workplace and support organisations to create healthier and more inclusive workplace cultures. They do this by providing employers with the tools they need to:

  • raise awareness through The Green Ribbon CampaignThe Green Ribbon Campaign Web page The Green Ribbon Campaign encourages organisations to invite their employees to wear a green ribbon during Mental Health Awareness Week and on other significant dates, to help end the stigma around mental health.Paid for By: The Lord Mayor’s Appeal View resource;

Wellbeing in the Workplace is a free interactive learning programme, developed by Samaritans in partnership with The Lord Mayor’s Appeal’s This Is Me campaign. It’s designed to give employees the skills they need to manage their own emotional health, as well as to support those around them, well before those feelings reach crisis point.

The tool promotes wellbeing and resilience, and shares expertise in active listening. It is reinforced by case studies and input from experts in the field, while also providing a practical introduction to listening skills. It’s all delivered through an online learning system but includes ideas for reinforcing what you’ve learned through role play.

You can learn at your own pace, at your desk or at home. In as little as five minutes, you can learn skills that will help to understand the importance of emotional health, and give you the confidence to reach out to a colleague, friend or family member who might be struggling to cope.

You can sign up on the website to start using the tool straight away, or watch a video introduction to find out more.
