The coronavirus pandemic presented the NHS workforce’s biggest ever challenge, with huge impacts on staff mental health and wellbeing. It’s unlikely that we’ll understand the full impact for some time, but it is already clear that compassionate leadership is key, and staff wellbeing needs to be a priority.
