Pathway for staff exposed to a traumatic incident at work
Organisation: St Mungo’s
This is an example of a trauma pathway, designed to help managers support staff who have experienced something traumatic at work.
At homelessness charity St Mungo’s, staff sometimes experience frightening or distressing events. To help managers to cope when this happens to their staff, they have created a trauma pathway outlining the steps managers should take to support them as much as possible.
While this resource is designed specifically for St Mungo’s, it provides a great example of what a good trauma pathway might look like. Other organisations can use it to build their own pathways designed around the unique challenges they face.
