How to be mentally healthy at work

Organisation: Mind

Web page

If you’re experiencing a mental health problem that is impacting your working life, it can be tricky to know what action to take. How to be Mentally Healthy at Work explores what you can do, with practical suggestions and ideas, and pointers for further support.

It covers a range of information, including:

  • the relationship between work and mental health;
  • disability and discrimination;
  • finding work, being unemployed and getting back into work;
  • workplace relations, including bullying;
  • flexible, part-time, remote and self-employed working.

The information is designed for people to help themselves, but would be useful to refer to when supporting a colleague too. It’s one of Mind’s information publications, so it has been carefully checked for clinical accuracy, informed by the views of people with lived experience of mental health problems, and is reviewed on a regular basis.

You can read the whole content on the web (use the navigation links to move through the different sections, as it’s more than one page), download a PDF copy of the text, or order printed copies for a small fee.
