Guide to developing an effective workplace mental wellbeing strategy

Creating a mental wellbeing strategy for your organisation is a great way to lay out how you will support your staff to be as mentally healthy as possible. A well-written strategy can help provide guidance when people ask for help, highlight areas that might need improvement, and suggest the ways in which you’ll develop your plan into the future.

However, it can be difficult to know where to start. Altruist Enterprises have created a PDF guide that explains why you need a mental wellbeing strategy, what it should contain, and how you can measure if it is working.

It is designed to help you:

  • develop a business case for focusing on mental health at work,
  • make sense of your organisation’s data,
  • write your strategy,
  • launch it, and
  • evaluate how successful it is.

It also includes a forward from Sir Norman Lamb, who shares his experiences of seeing the impact of poor mental health strategies, and explaining the economic benefits of doing it right.

The guide is available for download on the Altruist Enterprises website.
