CMHA Guide: ‘Thriving at Work’
Organisation: City Mental Health Alliance
The City Mental Health Alliance (CMHA) has launched a Guide to Thriving at Work, a unique toolkit to help businesses which employ over 500 people to become mentally healthy workplaces.
The guide provides a structured, practical approach to building a strong mental health strategy, which will benefit employees by creating a culture of openness in the workplace, free from stigma.
The guide’s recommendations are mapped against the Thriving at Work standards laid out in the Stevenson/Farmer reviewThriving at work: the Stevenson / Farmer review of mental health and employers An independent review into how employers can better support all employees' mental health, including recommended core standards. By: Department for Work and Pensions / Department of Health and Social Care View resource of mental health and employers. The CMHA’s guide provides clear interventions, good practice and self-assessment tools that will support members within the financial, legal and professional services sector to achieve those standards.
CMHA’s members, which employ a combined total of over 250,000 people across the UK, worked together to develop the guidance and will lead the way in creating healthy working environments that attract, retain and grow talent.
The guide includes practical interventions, guidance and measuring suggestions for businesses to carry out good practice.
