Around since 1923, SAMH currently operates over 60 services in communities across Scotland providing mental health social care support, homelessness, addictions and employment services, among others. This booklet can be the starting point for employees who are beginning to feel unwell to help get more information on mental health in the workplace.
At least one in six employees in Scotland will experience a common mental health problem. This includes issues such as anxiety or depression. Poor mental health is the number one reason for staff absence.
